OCKLYNGE DECEMBER NEWS : END OF YEAR ACHIEVEMENT CELEBRATION ASSEMBLIES!

Home » OCKLYNGE DECEMBER NEWS : END OF YEAR ACHIEVEMENT CELEBRATION ASSEMBLIES!
#TeamOcklynge did us so proud late last term.  We took the time to come together and be merry, ready to recognise and celebrate our learners who have gone above and beyond this year, those who have been true ambassadors for our school values : #Respectful #Responsible #Reflective #Resilient .
We had carols from our choir, joined in by all of the children, and they sang beautifully. Medals were awarded by Mr Reilly, our Headteacher, who was evidently very proud of his school, together with Mrs Bode and Mrs Linzey, our brilliant Deputy Heads and cheered on by our wider staff team.
We were also joined by our friend, Revd. David from St Elisabeth’s, Eastbourne, who took the time to speak to the children about the true meaning of Christmas and why this is so special and celebrated by the Christian faith. In true Revd’ David style, we were also treated to his ‘wicked’ sense of humour, enjoying his ‘sweet-themed’ biblical story! THANK YOU, as always, for coming and joining in our celebrations. See you in 2024!
A big WELL DONE to our leaners who took home medals today, keep up the fantastic work and to all of our learners for their continued efforts. Watching you all become so animated in your enthusiasm for your peers, cheering (loudly!) to our winners, was very heartwarming and we are all very, very #PROUD.
As ever, thank you to our parent/carer community for joining us, we hope you had a lovely time. See you all again in school this year.
